Simpson University for Seniors Accepting Students for October Classes

REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University for Seniors is offering two courses in October for adults of any age.
The non-credit, no-homework classes, which begin Oct. 2, are taught on Simpson’s campus by university professors and professionals in their field of expertise. Classes meet from 10:20 to 11:20 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The following courses are being offered:
10:20-11:20 a.m. – Coming to America: The History and Meaning of Immigration. Liberty first lifted her welcoming torch, America has had a complicated history with immigrants. How does immigration continue to shape the character of our country? This class will be an open and honest exploration of the historical, cultural, legal, and biblical perspectives on human migration in America. Presenter: Jamie Williams
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – The Customs and Culture of the Ancient Israelites. When we open our Bibles, we are confronted with a world different from the one in which we live. Their customs and daily activities often puzzle or surprise us. This course helps in the understanding of that culture. Presenter: Glenn Schaefer
