REDDING, Calif. -- Simpson University and Northern California Rehabilitation Hospital (NCRH) have announced the signing of a strategic alliance that will be effective through December 2010. The partnership will assist with internship placement for Simpson students, provide preferred student status at Simpson for NCRH employees, and create ways for both partners to work together in assisting the north state community.
The alliance was signed by Simpson University President Dr. Larry J. McKinney and NCRH Chief Executive Officer Chris Jones.

This is Simpson University’s sixth strategic alliance with area hospitals since the university expanded its sciences and health care curriculum. The university recently launched degree programs in Nursing, Healthcare Management, and Biology.
Northern California Rehabilitation Hospital is a 90-bed hospital specializing in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC), Transitional Care (TCU), and Outpatient Rehabilitation. LTAC programs specialize in ventilator weaning, respiratory support, intensive wound management and neurological programs for brain, spine and stroke rehabilitation. The TCU offers short term rehabilitation specializing in pre and post operative joint care. The Outpatient Neurological and Orthopedic Physical Rehabilitation program offers evaluations and treatments with a licensed therapist emphasizing self management skills and home program instruction.
