REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University will hold an information meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 23, to provide information on ROTC military chaplaincy.
Chaplain Luis Pina, of the US Army WEST Chaplain Recruiting Team, will be there to discuss the service opportunities in military chaplaincy. In addition, Simpson University faculty and staff will be available during the information meeting to answer questions.
The information meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the ROTC building located next to the Heritage Student Life Center at Simpson University.
Maj. Kurt Walling, Simpson University’s assistant professor of military science, said, “This is a great opportunity to come and learn about the benefits of military chaplaincy directly from an active duty Army Chaplain. Those who are considering attending seminary graduate school or beginning a rewarding career in the military should attend.”
The information meeting will discuss programs to help students pay for seminary education and provide information about Simpson’s A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary and the ROTC program.
Chaplain Pina’s awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” device, Army Service Ribbon, and an Army Overseas Service Ribbon.
Seating is limited and attendees are asked to call and reserve a space.
