REDDING, Calif. - John Pearson, president of John Pearson Associates, a management consulting firm in San Clemente, will be the featured speaker at the 11th annual Simpson University Business Luncheon on Aug. 28.

His topic, “Let’s Get Real! There are No Quick Fixes to Business Challenges—Only Courageous Quick Fixers,” will address seven leadership competencies essential to ensuring a company’s sustainability.

The event is scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Simpson’s Heritage Student Life Center, 2211 College View Drive. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $15 each or $135 for a table of 10.

Pearson, author of Mastering the Management Buckets: 20 Critical Competencies for Leading Your Business or Nonprofit, has more than 30 years of nonprofit CEO experience and has spent 25 years leading three associations. In addition to consulting with nonprofit and for-profit clients, he conducts training workshops on his Management Buckets program and on nonprofit board governance and publishes a weekly e-newsletter called “Your Weekly Staff Meeting.”
