REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University’s Music Department is pleased to welcome Dr. Cyril Myers to its faculty.

Dr. Myers holds a doctorate in choral conducting from Michigan State University. His extensive experience includes being choral director at Walla Walla University, Indiana University-Purdue University Ft. Wayne, and Southwest Michigan College.

In addition to teaching, Dr. Myers will oversee the Simpson Chorale and Trinity Repertory Singers.

As the premier choral group from Simpson University’s music program, Chorale is an audition-based mixed ensemble that specializes in advanced vocal and choral techniques as well as standard choral repertoire. The Chorale tours around the U.S. and abroad. Past tours have visited England, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, and West Africa.

Trinity Repertory Singers is a community chorus sponsored and hosted by Simpson University. It is open to all community and university members. The chorus performs a variety of choral literature but focuses primarily on large-scale choral works.
