Simpson University welcomes new seminary dean

REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Patrick Blewett as dean of A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary.
Dr. Blewett served most recently on the pastoral staff at Westside Church in Omaha, Neb. In addition to serving in pastoral positions throughout the U.S., Dr. Blewett has served as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Columbia International University (South Carolina); academic vice president and dean of the faculty at Grace University; and dean of Grace College of the Bible in Omaha.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Montana Institute of the Bible; a master of arts in church education, master of divinity and doctorate of ministry from Western Seminary in Portland, Ore.; and a Ph.D. in education from the University of Idaho.
Tozer Seminary is a graduate school within Simpson University that offers master’s degrees in divinity and intellectual leadership. Courses are delivered online and through one- and two-week intensives on campus. The seminary is named after well-known author and Christian and Missionary Alliance pastor A.W. Tozer.

Dr. Blewett began his duties Sept. 1.
