Simpson University Hosting Informational Dessert for Volunteers

REDDING, Calif. - Looking for volunteer opportunities in a college environment?
Friends of Simpson University will hold an informational kick-off dessert and coffee from 2 to 3 p.m. Aug. 26 in the J.D. Williams Suite, third floor of the Owen Center on Simpson’s campus, 2211 College View Drive in Redding.
Friends of Simpson University is a volunteer group involved with students, faculty and staff, as well as the Redding community. It offers opportunities including student mentoring, greeting campus visitors, hosting meals for students, and more.

Simpson University, established in 1921, is celebrating its 25th year in Redding, Calif. In fall 2014, the university will dedicate a new Science & Nursing Building. Simpson is a Christian university offering undergraduate, graduate, and teaching credential programs. Academic programs include ASPIRE, a degree-completion program geared toward working adults. Simpson is expanding its online course offerings, including degrees in psychology and organizational leadership.
