For Immediate Release

04.17.2014

REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University is pleased to announce the donation of 500 stadium seats in support of the renovation efforts of Tiger Field by the city of Redding.

A joint-use agreement was approved by the Redding City Council on April 15.

"We are pleased to be able to make a contribution to the planned improvements to Tiger Field and are grateful for use of the field over the years by our baseball team," said Dr. Robin Dummer, interim president.

The stadium seats are from the former Travis Credit Union Park, which was disassembled and brought to the North State from Vacaville in 2008. Simpson University has held the equipment in storage for use on its baseball field, which is under construction at its northeast Redding campus.
