Simpson University Introduces Option for Non-Cash Gifts

For Immediate Release

06.17.2014

REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University has partnered with the iDonate Foundation to provide a way for people to donate non-cash items to benefit university student scholarships and programs.

“By partnering with iDonate our donors now have more options to change the lives of students and support the educational mission of Simpson University,” said Don Merrill, regional advancement representative. “With this new non-cash giving option, we accept 20 different types of donations.”

iDonate LogoVehicles — including RVs, motorcycles, boats and ATVS — electronics (such as smart phones, laptops and game consoles), jewelry, commodities, excess and business inventory, and precious metals are among the items Simpson University can now process.

To explore options for non-cash gifts and to donate, visit simpsonu.edu/idonate.

After entering donation information, a donor will be emailed a pre-paid shipping label and instructions on how to deliver their donation (larger items will be picked up). After the item is liquidated, donors receive a gift-in-kind receipt from the iDonate Foundation, which sends proceeds directly to Simpson University.
