Simpson University Collecting Clothing for Rescue Mission Drive

For Immediate Release

REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University is collecting coats, jeans and socks through the end of January for the Good News Rescue Mission.

Community members are encouraged to join students and university employees in dropping off new or gently used items. Simpson is located at 2211 College View Drive in northeast Redding.

Donation barrels are set up in the foyers of the Owen Student Services Center (three-story building near Shasta View Drive) and the Heritage Student Life Center (gymnasium).

“We’re hoping that when people get new things for Christmas, they’ll donate the old ones,” said Karen Smith, administrative assistant for the Student Development Department, which is hosting the drive.
