Simpson University to Graduate 147 Students on Saturday

REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University will honor 147 graduates during two commencement ceremonies Saturday, Jan. 10, inside the Heritage Student Life Center on campus, 2211 College View Drive.
The graduates include the first cohort of the university’s newest graduate program: a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership.
At 10 a.m., students from the School of Adult Studies (ASPIRE degree-completion program) will be recognized. At 2 p.m., students in the traditional undergraduate program will cross the stage, along with those earning master’s degrees from the School of Education, School of Graduate Professional Studies, and A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary.
Amy Smallwood, assistant professor of Outdoor Leadership, will be the featured speaker.
Simpson University traditionally holds commencement twice a year—an indoor ceremony in January for summer and fall graduates, and an outdoor event in April for spring graduates.
Founded in 1921, Simpson University is celebrating its 25th year in Redding. In addition to offering 25 four-year bachelor’s degrees in its traditional program, Simpson also offers five degrees through its adult studies program, as well as teaching credential programs and several master’s degrees.
More than 3,400 North State residents have completed their bachelor’s degrees through Simpson’s ASPIRE program, which offers classes online and on campus during evenings and weekends.
