Simpson University to Hold 2nd ASPIRE Leaders Luncheon

REDDING, Calif. - Celebrating more than 25 years of educating adult students, Simpson University will hold its second annual ASPIRE Leaders Luncheon on Thursday, March 10, at the Red Lion Hotel on Hilltop Drive.

All ASPIRE alumni and current and prospective ASPIRE students are invited to the luncheon, which begins at 11:45 a.m. (check-in at 11:30). Seating is limited; tickets cost $10 and can be purchased online at simpsonu.edu/aspireluncheon.

Dr. Ilene BezjianThe luncheon will feature guest speaker Ilene Bezjian, a senior consultant with The Genysys Group, a company that helps organizations and individuals in the midst of change. Her work focuses on disruptive behaviors in turbulent industries. Dr. Bezjian was dean of the School of Business and Management at Azusa Pacific University for 14 years and a professor of marketing for 20 years.

Dr. Bezjian will speak on “Tourist or Pilgrim Leader: 8 Suggestions for Leaders in Building a Great Team.”

“I’m excited that we have Dr. Bezjian speak at our second annual ASPIRE Leaders Luncheon event,” said Dr. John Burlison, dean of Adult Studies and online programs. “Her expertise and passion for developing leadership is inspirational. ASPIRE students and alumni won’t want to miss this opportunity.”

The School of Adult Studies (ASPIRE) has graduated more than 3,500 North State adults since 1989. The program offers bachelor’s degrees in business management, liberal studies, psychology, and organizational leadership, with online and weeknight on-campus class options.
