Volunteer Opportunities

Simpson University is a great place to serve. For more than 20 years, Simpson has been an active part of the Redding community, offering on campus athletic events, music concerts, lectures, craft fairs, and a “school” for retirees. Our mailroom, coffee shop and dining center are also open to the public.

Friends of Simpson

The Friends of Simpson team is a group of volunteers involved with our students, our faculty and staff, as well as the Redding community. Three areas of focus for Simpson are:

  • Creating awareness

We are a friendly, vibrant team dedicated to helping our students succeed academically and personally. We have many opportunities for volunteers to make a difference in these young people’s lives, whether through prayer, mentoring, hosting meals, or other outreaches.

  • Fundraising

Friends of Simpson also help with university fundraising events and in spreading the word about student scholarships and special campus projects.

  • Building relationships

Friends of Simpson volunteers not only build relationships with Simpson students, employees and guests, they also grow close as a team. Meet new friends with similar interests and encourage your friends to join you.

    Volunteer opportunities include:

    • Greeting visitors in the Owen Center
    • Mentoring students
    • Praying for students
    • Cookies at Christmas
    • Fall and spring fundraising events
