Biography
Dr. Deb Baker joined Simpson University in 2023 as an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department and the Degree Completion Program, teaching in the B.A. in Social Welfare. She brings over two decades of teaching experience from Life Pacific University and Azusa Pacific University. Dr. Baker holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, an M.S.W. from California State University, San Bernardino, and a B.A. in Psychology from Trinity Christian College. Her research focuses on student retention in higher education, and she was named Teacher of the Year in 2023 by several California state leaders. She is leading the development and implementation of Simpson University’s Social Work program.
