Organizational Structure

Administration

The Executive Administration structure is comprised of the Board of Trustees, the President, and the President’s Cabinet. The President’s Cabinet includes the school’s president, provost, chief operating officer, chief financial officer, executive dean of A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary, interim dean of advancement, dean of students, and faculty president.

Academics

The office of Academic Affairs is comprised of the provost, the deans, directors, department chairs, and faculty of each program (Undergraduate Studies, Degree Completion, Graduate and Professional Studies, the Betty M. Dean School of Nursing and A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary), Institutional Research and Assessment, the Center for Excellence in Learning Technology (CELT), the Registrar’s Office, and Library Services.

Business Services

Business Services is overseen by the Chief Operations Officer and is comprised of Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Media Relations, Athletics, Admissions, and legal matters. Business Services plays a key role in the recruitment of new students and building and maintaining the university’s brand awareness.

Advancement

The Advancement Office is comprised of university relations which include alumni and parent relations, fundraising, strategic partnerships, strategic initiatives, and events. The advancement team is focused on the previously listed priorities which help ensure we can reach and serve students as well as the communities we serve now and in the future. We do this through relationship-building, endowment creation and stewardship, messaging, and public relations. Find out how you can support Simpson at our General Donation page.

Student Development

Student Development is comprised of Residence Life (housing, resident assistants, programs, and climbing wall), Spiritual Formation (chapel, missions, mentoring, and community service), Student Accountability (conduct and amnesty), Student Engagement (orientation, First Year Experience class, activities, commuter services, clubs, student government, and intramural sports), the Wellness Center (health clinic, programs, and counseling services) the Academic Success Center (tutoring, accommodations, testing, workshops, and study groups), and the Veteran Success Center (VA verification, vet support and services). In addition, Student Development is responsible for leading campus wide retention efforts and Title IX training and compliance.

Financial Services

The office of Financial Services is comprised of the Chief Financial Officer, corporate finance, Student Financial Services, and campus operations (mail and copy services, auxiliary services, food service, facilities, campus safety, and the campus bookstore and coffee shop). The office of Financial Services aims to provide Christ-centered, high quality, customer-focused service to the Simpson University community as well as progressive, prudent and efficient management of the university’s assets.
