Biography
Professor Obilana is a Simpson Alumnus. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and HR Management through Simpson’s Degree Completion Program. After graduating from Simpson he pursued his Masters in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at Pepperdine University Los Angeles, CA. During his time in LA he also served as the Director for Pepperdine’s Microenterprise Program, a social benefit organization that provided business and entrepreneurial training to people transitioning out of homelessness. In 2014 he founded The Microenterprise Incubator, which helped clients raise seed funding and launch micro-businesses. He eventually moved back to Redding, CA with his wife and kids and worked as a business consultant with the Shasta Small Business Development Center. In 2021 he became the Director for Simpson’s TRIO program before switching over to a full-time faculty position. Professor Obilana has a passion for business and for teaching. He hopes to inspire his students to be great business leaders, managers and entrepreneurs who put Christ at the center of their business practices.
