International Student Admissions Requirements
Simpson University is home to international students from many different countries.
An international applicant is any applicant that is neither a U.S. citizen nor an eligible non-citizen. If you are a U.S. citizen, even if you are currently living outside the U.S., or if you are not a U.S. citizen but an eligible non-citizen, you do not qualify as an international student.
UNDERGRADUATE
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Complete the FREE application
- Take an English Proficiency Test
- Here are the tests and scores that we accept:
- ACT – 19 (16 on English section)
- SAT – 910 (410 on reading and writing section)
- PTE – 53
- Duolingo – 110
- TOEFL – 79
- IELTS – 6.5
- Here are the tests and scores that we accept:
- Send in your EP scores and unofficial transcripts
- Email them to transcripts@simpsonu.edu
- Pay your $200 Advanced Tuition Deposit
- You can pay online here
- You can call your admissions counselor for instructions.
- Complete your I-20 application
- Return your I-20 application form
- Submit a copy of your passport
- Provide proof of finances
- Complete your Visa process
- Pay the SEVIS fee at www.fmjfee.com
- FIll out the DS-160 form at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv
- Schedule your visa interview at your local U.S. Consulate
*Note: Students transferring from another school in the U.S. will fill out a transfer form instead of completing this section. Canadian students are only required to pay the SEVIS fee in this section.
I-20 PROCESS
- Submit the I-20 application
- Provide financial information. US law requires that you prove your ability to support yourself for every year of your program of study.
- Student Proof of Income (If student is paying)
- Student Bank Statements (If student is paying)
- Affidavit of Financial Support
- Sponsors proof of Income (if sponsor is paying for tuition)
- Sponsors bank Statements (if sponsor is paying for tuition)

GRADUATE STUDENTS
SImpson University currently offers two programs to International Students seeking an F-1 Visa: Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and Master of Arts in Education.

- Submit a third party course by course evaluation of their foreign transcripts.
