How to Qualify for Direct Acceptance

• Must be a first-time freshman
• 3.0 cumulative high schoDirect Acceptance to the Betty M. Dean School of Nursing is a distinguished program for first-time freshmen looking to pursue their Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. After completing the first three semesters of pre-nursing coursework, students who qualified for Direct Acceptance will be directly admitted into the School of Nursing at Simpson University. Students must maintain a cumulative college GPA at Simpson of 3.0 or higher and achieve an adjusted score of 70 or better on the ATI-TEAS exam.ol GPA (unweighted)
• 3 math classes (earning a C or better)
• 2 lab sciences
• Apply and be accepted to Simpson University before July 15th.
• Submit essay by Monday, June 30 at 5 p.m. to admissions@simpsonu.edu or to student’s admissions counselor
• Must be 18 years or older before registering for courses
• Students must complete all GE and pre-requisites here at Simpson

Until admitted, students will be considered part of the pre-nursing cohort. Please note, the School of Nursing will extend up to 12 spots for direct acceptance.

How to Maintain Direct Acceptance

• 3.0 cumulative college GPA
• Students who are direct acceptance have to maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA on all pre-requisite’s classes AND a C or higher in all classes
• 3.0 average pre-requisite GPA

Essay will include answers to the following three questions. Essay should include the student’s name at the top and is not limited to a particular formatting.
