The Edge

The EDGE is a student wilderness adventure experience. The EDGE is a week of backpacking, white water rafting and rock climbing that is designed to prepare you for success at Simpson University. It is a transformational wilderness journey.

The Edge takes place before the start of Fall semester and is a 3-credit course, which will be part of your Fall semester. There is a $650 course fee which covers food and equipment. Contact your admissions counselor if you are interested. 

• Get an Edge in community as you bond with your small group through shared adventure.
• Get an Edge academically as you come to Welcome Week with one class completed.
• Get an Edge on graduation counting this class toward the new Ascent General Education requirements.
• Get an Edge spiritually, connecting with God through His Creation.
