Molly Rupert

With more than 30 years of experience in the media field, Molly Rupert brings both professional expertise and personal passion to her work at Simpson University. Her career in journalism has been recognized with numerous national and state awards, reflecting her dedication to excellence in storytelling and communication. For over 15 years, she has served the university community as a faculty member, department chair, and faculty president, helping shape programs that prepare students for meaningful careers in media. She is especially passionate about mentoring the next generation of communicators, encouraging creativity, integrity, and confidence in their craft. Before transitioning to higher education, she worked in various areas of media production and reporting. Away from campus, she enjoys time with her husband and celebrating the lives and accomplishments of their two grown daughters.
