Biography
Tammie Romines-Baker began her healthcare career as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at the age of 16. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Ventura College in 1987 and later continued her education at Western Governors University, completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2016), a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management (2017), and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education (2024). She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree through Purdue University Global. Her nursing career spans nearly four decades, beginning with Catholic Healthcare West in Ventura County. She remained with the organization, now Dignity Health/CommonSpirit Health, until 2022, working across multiple hospital departments with a primary focus in obstetrics, leadership, and the IV/PICC team. In 2022, she transitioned into nursing education and now serves at Simpson University, where she is passionate about supporting and mentoring the next generation of nurses.
