Biography
Born and raised in rural East Texas, Dr. Middlebrook moved from Chicago to the Redding area in the Fall of 2020 with his wife Katie and two daughters Eden and Lucy. Katie is an alumna of Simpson’s nursing program. Dr. Middlebrook has served as a pastoral fellow and elder at Life on the Vine Christian Community (C&MA) in Long Grove, IL and has taught numerous biblical, theological, and ministry courses at Trinity International University and Simpson University, as well as assisting at Jerusalem University College. Psalms is his favorite course!
Dr. Middlebrook is enthusiastic about the Bible’s power to transform lives. His classes highlight the cultural and geographical settings of the ancient world in order to awaken our imagination for seeing Gods’ kingdom erupt in the real world of our daily lives. He is a former woodworker (timber framing), a current disc golfer, and a future cellist!
