WorldSERVE History & Impact

Gateway to World Service
Rooted in our founding mission to prepare students for Christian service—especially in global contexts—Simpson University maintains an enduring commitment to equipping students to serve both locally and internationally. As part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, this calling is shaped by a rich legacy of gospel-centered, cross-cultural engagement around the world.
Whether through short-term missions, service projects, or lifelong vocational ministry, Simpson students are empowered to live out the Great Commission in every corner of the world—joining a global network of churches and ministries committed to sharing the hope of Christ.
This global connection is not separate from the Simpson experience—it is central to it.
Through WorldSERVE, students step into this larger story. What begins as a short-term trip often becomes something much deeper: a growing awareness of God’s work around the world and a clearer sense of personal calling. Students don’t just observe missions—they participate in it alongside trusted global partners who are part of the Alliance network.
For many, WorldSERVE is the first step in a lifelong journey. Some students go on to internships, residencies, or long-term service opportunities connected to Alliance missions. Others carry that global perspective into their careers, churches, and communities—living out their faith with a broader understanding of God’s heart for the world.
From the classroom to the city streets, and from Redding to remote villages abroad, we believe every student has a role in bringing hope, healing, and the love of Christ to a world in need.
