REDDING, Calif. – The 4th Annual Back the Blue bass tournament hosted by California Custom has collaborated with Simpson University and their new Criminal Justice program to create the Jorgensen Moore Memorial Scholarship Fund.
On February 22, 2024, ten-year-old Ryker Moore and ten-year-old Jonathan Jorgensen tragically lost their lives in a landslide accident. Moore was the son of Redding Police Department Corporal, Brian Moore.
The Jorgensen Moore Memorial Scholarship will help support students pursuing a career in Criminal Justice, specifically those interested in law enforcement employment in Shasta County and the surrounding areas.
The 4th Annual Back the Blue bass tournament will begin on Saturday, May 18 from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a Cam Am On Road demo, music, food, and check-in. The tournament will be held on May 19 at Bridge Bay. Awards and raffle will follow weigh-in at Huff’s.
Net proceeds from tournament will be allocated to the Jorgensen Moore Memorial Scholarship Fund.
