Guest Housing: Currently Not Available

The Auxiliary Services office is pleased to provide guest housing year round for visitors to the university, to the Redding community, and to local conference attendees. All of our guest rooms are located on campus within the residence halls. The rooms are comfortably furnished with the following:

  • Two twin beds (standard size), Pillow and Blanket
  • Linen set (bed sheets, pillow case, bath towels)
  • Dressers and Desks
  • Private Bathroom with Soap and Toilet Paper
  • Air Conditioning
  • Access to Coin Operated Laundry Facilities
  • Wireless Internet Access (please request at time of booking)
  • Mini fridges available for $5 a night (please request at time of booking)
  • Measell-Taylor Dormitory
  • A view from the door of a Measell-Taylor room
  • A view from the sink of a Measell-Taylor room
  • The vanity/sink area in a Measell-Taylor room
  • A Measell-Taylor bathroom
  • The patio area outside Measell-Taylor

During the academic year room availability is limited and is offered on a first come, first served basis. During the summertime we offer accommodations for groups of up to 450 guests.

Residence Hall Pricing

Pricing is based on the number of guests, number of nights reserved and whether or not the group has rented other areas on campus.

Residence Hall Room with Linen - Single Occupancy, Two Night Minimum
(Includes Sheets and Towels)
 $50.00 per person, per night
Residence Hall Room with Linen - Double Occupancy, Two Night Minimum
(Includes Sheets and Towels)
 $10.00 per additional person, per night

* Groups requiring multiple contracts may incur service fees.

The pricing for residence hall rooms when other areas of campus have also been rented will be determined within the total contract price. Please contact the Auxiliary Services office at or (530) 226-4971 for more information.

Guest Housing Guidelines

  • Possession and/or use of illegal drugs or any alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the university campus.
  • Smoking is not allowed on the Simpson University campus.
  • Firearms, weapons, ammunition, fireworks, explosives and highly flammable materials are not allowed on the university campus.
  • No pets are allowed on campus.Please contact us regarding certified service animals.
  • No cooking in any residence hall rooms.

Visitation / Quiet Hours

Sunday - Thursday: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Friday - Saturday: 10 a.m. - 11 p.m.

Cancellation Policy

We will charge your credit card or process your check two weeks prior to your arrival. If you cancel your reservation prior to two weeks of your arrival date, there will be no charge for your reservation. If you cancel with less than two weeks notice, we will hold the amount paid as a credit towards a stay within the next six months. If you do not stay with us within the six month period you will forfeit the amount charged. There are no credits for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.
