Homecoming & Family Weekend

Come home to Simpson, reconnect with old friends, make new memories, and experience all that Homecoming & Family Weekend has to offer. Events will take place throughout the weekend, with highlights including:

  • Homecoming Football Game & Tailgate – Cheer on the Red Hawks and enjoy pre-game festivities, food, and fun.
  • Alumni Awards Banquet – Celebrate the accomplishments and lasting impact of Simpson graduates, chosen by other alumni to be specially recognized during this celebration.
  • Alumni Baseball Game & Fireworks – Watch Simpson alumni take on the current team before enjoying an evening fireworks celebration.
  • Red Hawk 5K – Start your Saturday with this Homecoming tradition, open to alumni, students, families, and community members.
  • Student Life and Community Gatherings – Enjoy coming together for athletic events throughout the weekend and student life activities.

6th Annual Red Hawk 5K

Participate in the 6th Annual Red Hawk 5K Run/Walk during Simpson University’s Homecoming Weekend!

Whether you’re aiming for a personal record or enjoying a walk with friends and family, the Red Hawk 5K is a fun way to be part of one of Simpson’s favorite Homecoming traditions. Open to participants of all ages and experience levels, the course begins and ends on campus and welcomes alumni, students, faculty, staff, and members of the community.

Hawks in the Nest

We’d like to invite our current Red Hawks to share the Simpson experience with their siblings during our first-ever Hawks in the Nest! This two-day event, held during Homecoming & Family Weekend (Friday, October 24 – Saturday, October 25), is all about connection, fun, and family.

Bring your sibling to campus to experience life at Simpson University, explore what it means to be a Red Hawk, and make lasting memories together. It’s a special opportunity for your sibling to see your “home away from home” while beginning their own college search.
